Anyone ever heard of a confessional chair? dining table
It’s a chair with almost an umbrella-like top to it, antique, usually upholstered I’m guessing. I saw it in a design mag in the doctor’s office and figured I could find it online somewhere, but no luck! Does anyone know where I can find one?
Answer by eskie lover
I saw a lot of them in Europe. I would check some of the antique sites there as old churches are dismantled they show up at auction and at the European antique shops. PS The ones I saw were all wood, no upholstery, but very beautifully carved designs.
Answer by lesroys
Some UK antique dealers have websites. I know when I was looking for a quite different item of furniture (an antique wedding cabinet) I kept coming across confessional chairs.
Specifically a typical low-rise office. Are they normally made of some kind of plexi-glass, which means a chair would bounce off… ?
Answer by Frank N
Typical for where? A window that’s needed for safety is usually made of tempered glass. Plexiglas is used less often because it scratches easily and is expensive.
i’m looking for a little splurge on myself with my income tax return. i would really like to get one of those massaging pads that you put on an office type chair. do they work or do they fall apart quickly? are they worth the money? what kind would you recommend? i work on my feet all day every day and my back aches every evening.
Answer by Julie O
Massage chair pads can help but they probably won’t cure your back pain.
Homedics has a good line. My dentist uses them in the chair.
See a good massage therapist, chiropractor and/or acupuncturist to figure out what the problem is and have it addressed properly or it could lead to worse problems.

Yes I have a Homedics that is great. It was $ 99 at Walgreens or $ 79 at Wal-Mart

why does a child refuse to potty train? la z boy
my friend has a child who is four. a girl. she will sometimes use the potty (more often than not) but will still wet herself during the day and the night. my friends five year old boy always uses the potty and only has occasional night accidents. is the four year old just lazy or stubborn? we speculated that she wants to be momma’s baby still like her little sister. any advice?
Answer by highnlow
because they stand for it, that’s why! There is NO EXCUSE for that! If SHE were made to clean up her own messes, she’d STOP doing that!
Answer by soldier_murphy
i can’t really answer for the day time part… but as far as night if she is a heavy sleeper you just have to wake her up in the middle of her deepest sleep in the night and tell her to use the potty… she will get mad. but it will put her in the habit of using the potty and avoid any night accidents. that is what the doc told me for my 4 yr old son’s bed wetting problem at night.
Answer by boystownhotline
Children usually begin to potty train around 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 years old, but it’s not always so. It’s not a bad idea to start having them sit on the potty for a few seconds or minutes (whatever they’ll accept) before bedtime, as a nightly ritual to start getting them used to the idea of a potty, even though they might not care if they remember to use it or doesn’t end up going in the potty. Below are some specific suggestions and ideas for you to look into.
It can take a long while before a child is properly potty trained. A lot of the time the reasons for having trouble potty training has to do with the child and their temperament, consistent parenting strategies and a lack of patience from parents. Usually, it takes a few months or so of solid, consistent parenting and potty training for it to sink in and make a lasting change. Without a structured routine then it can take much longer, even over a year, which is okay.
When the time comes to begin actively potty training him, it’s important to think about how you want to approach potty training and to develop a plan. Decide when and how you want to start, what rewards, if any, you want to use, how to handle accidents, when to back off, and so on. At the same time, prepare to be flexible. Keep in mind that as with most developmental milestones, success doesn’t necessarily happen in a linear fashion. Your child may make initial progress only to regress at one or more points along the way, which is also quite common. Discuss your plan with your child’s sitter or daycare provider, if you have one, because they’ll probably have plenty of experience and advice to share with you too. Once you’ve decided on a strategy, be sure you and everyone else who takes care of your child sticks to it the best they can.
Throughout potty training, your child should respond to positive reinforcement. Whenever they move on to a new step or tries to use the potty without too much prompting (even when they don’t quite succeed), tell them they’re doing well and that you’re proud of them. Compliment them now and then on their dry underpants and/or diaper. But be careful not to go overboard: Too much praise might make them nervous and afraid to fail, which can lead to more accidents and setbacks. It’s likely your child will have numerous accidents before being completely potty-trained. Don’t get angry or punish them either because that will only add to the problem: After all, it’s only at around 2 – 2 1/2 years old or so that their nervous system has matured enough to perceive the sensation of a full bladder or rectum and that their muscles have developed enough to allow them to “hold it in.” They’ll get the hang of the process in time. When they has an accident, calmly clean it up and suggest (sweetly) that next time they try using their potty instead.
Here are some specific tips that will hopefully be helpful for you. As they progress and you feel it’s time to work on potty training at night then start out by checking their diaper each morning. If they keep them dry throughout the night for a week, then it’s time to move forward with nighttime potty training. Toddlers bladders are usually big enough to hold urine for 2-5 hours at a time once they have developed the ability to hold it in, and they should really START to know by now the feeling of waking up “dry”. Talk to them about it daily. Show your enthusiasm over a dry diaper and suggest they graduate into big boy/girl sleeping underwear (disposable training underwear). Explain how they should try to stay dry and that they need to go to the toilet to go potty at night.
Limit liquids in the evening about 3 hours before bedtime and have them go to the bathroom right before bed. If you tend to stay up a couple hours or so after your child goes to bed, then you might want to wake them gently to go to the bathroom right before you go to bed. They might not fully wake up and that’s okay, but guide or carry them to the bathroom, set them on the toilet and suggest they go potty. Another idea is to take your child to the bathroom each time you wake up to use the toilet. Modeling the behavior of using the potty over and over can really help speed things along. If you follow this consistently, then you should only have to do this for about the first few weeks, until they get used to getting up to use the toilet on their own.
If you find they do not need to go more often than not, then slowly stop waking them up as much. Praise them each time they go in the toilet and/or stays clean and dry. After a week of no accidents then try moving them into cotton training underwear. Try lining the mattress with a waterproof mattress pad (easy to find). Keep an extra one handy for nighttime accidents. Encourage your child to wake up on their own when they have the urge to potty, but continue to wake them and bring them to the bathroom for as long as needed or until they have stopped going at night for at least a few weeks in a row. Maybe even create and keep a star chart for them, where they can earn star stickers to put on a special wall calendar, as a motivating system. The experience needs to be as little traumatic as possible for them in order to succeed. The process also affects their level of confidence as they continue to grow and develop, so it’s important that they aren’t shamed if they end up needing more time than others.
Just realize that they might not be ready physiologically; it differs from child to child. This doesn’t mean you can’t make small little adjustments to their nightly routine by having them sit on the potty, without a diaper of course, for however long they will sit there (just don’t force them). This will at least get them used to the routine of sitting on a potty every night. If you think you have the time to have them sit on the potty three times a day, even if just for a half a minute then do that too, repetition and support will help them reach your potty training goals. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself in the process either. I also encourage you to call the Boys Town National Hotline at 1-800-448-3000 and speak to one of our counselors, anytime 24/7.We can provide a listening ear, advice, referrals to local resources and crisis interventions as well. So if he is lazy and doesn’t work then why would you want him anyway. Sounds like a loser and you are better of without him.
I’m looking for serious answers here. Nothing along the lines of “duh” or “of course”.
I’m just wondering, because I haven’t been able to find a woman who thinks that it’s important for a man to live his life with integrity. Most women that I know think that it’s great when a man is unfaithful, lazy, bullying, and dishonest in general. They view him as being a “bad boy” who has “edge” and is a “challenge”.
On the other hand, a man who is confident, mentally and physically healthy, a community leader, intelligent, romantic, honest, and would be a devoted husband and father, is seen as “boring” and “too nice”.
Why is this? Do these women have low self-esteem and think that they don’t deserve better . . . or, do men of integrity have to start being losers in order for women to appreciate them?
I look forward to your intelligent and well-thought-out answers.

My graphic communication teacher is insane, What should I do? dining chairs
My graphic communication teacher is insane and he throws objects and flips out for no reason. I’m dead serious, last year he threw a chair at us and ripped out speakers from one of my classmates computer and almost caused an electric fire. We were playing Monoply board game and he came in and knocked the board over like a baboon. The pieces went every where! We don’t know when he’s serious and when he’s not. He’s critically insane, and I’ve reported him but they just laugh and think it’s a joke. I don’t know what to do.
Answer by Snaxrax
Do you go to school in an insane aslyum? YOUR TEACHER IS MAD CRAZY!
You should like bruise yourself and pretend it was him that hurt you. That will make everyone believe you.
But seriously, maybe you should talk to him and confront him about his issues.
Answer by missvonniev
I can’t believe the descriptions of school teachers I have been reading here! Report this guy to the school board. It may be possible also to file a police report for menacing (which is what he is doing). If he were doing this in a restaurant, what do you think would happen. You guys have no fewer rights than anyone else “out there.”
chair or picnic blanket?
have we lost the old ways of sitting on a blanket on the lawn watching a game (or whatever the occasion may be)? All I see are fold up chairs and coolers!
Do we need ALL the modern comforts?!?
Answer by ladyhawk8141
Well being from upstate Ny, we always had old blankets to lay on. Now I live in Fl. and blankets don’t cut it here. We have to many ants scorpians, and chiggers to lay on the ground. So chairs are the thing here, even than you need to watch out for the little varmits.
Answer by lillith25
Yeah, I remember going to 4th of July fireworks and bringing a blanket, or going to the beach with just a blanket, I even remember taking my kids to the park and having lunch on a blanket. We even used to go outside at night and lay on a blanket and look up at the stars, and looking up at the clouds during the day and seeing so many fun and crazy things. Thanks for the reminder, I am going to introduce my grandkids to the “blanket”
Answer by dweebken
I can’t sit on the ground for very long without my back hurting and my legs going numb and getting pins and needles. So it’s chairs for me if I can possibly manage it.
Why do some people ACTUALLY prefer boy kids over girls? herman miller
ew ew ew……I’d never!!
my brother is 11 and pees all over the toilet seat, and so do all of his friends and all they do is play video games and hardly wash…
for my university I had to do a study on gender preference in kids and I walked around the town and asked 366 people what they would prefer, and let me tell you this… I was stunned… 317 people voted boys…………….
when I told my dad he laughed and said he was shocked, he said he only wanted girls, girls are little angels and boys are just boys…
he said me and my sister were perfect growing up, I mean no one told us to do our home work we done it our selves, we washed our selves, cleaned our own bedrooms, and done everything for our selves…
my mom has to beg my brother to do his home work, my brother is so lazy he doesn’t even clean his room or can even pick up his own sock….
my niece is 10 and she is so mature, she cooks and cleans, never makes any noises, or mess… when shes around theres just peace and quite.
when my brothers around theres wrestling or football blasting on the tv, his screaming and making a mess… kicking and whatever and all his friends are just as bad!
how can some people actually prefer boys…
plus I’d much rather a daughter, I took a gender studies class at school and my teacher said that men are less normal than women, he said a lot more men are gay than women, and a lot more men are transsexuals and commit more crimes.
As study has that men commit 13.5 million crimes per year, and women only commit 2 million crimes per year, that is a big difference. That means for all the crimes men do in a year, women do in 7 years. It also means for each son you have there is a more chance of him being quite mental and evil compare to each daughter. CRAZY!
Violent crime is very much the domain of men. Men are responsible for most criminal acts and they are the victims more often than women. This is true even in the acutely tragic cases of the murder of a child. Of murder victims aged 5 years or under, most are males and most are killed by a man. And Also male prisons are PACKED, there are billions of more men in prison than women so their will be more of a chance of your son going to prison than your daughter. There is more of a chance of your son being gay, I have nothing against gay people, at all! But being gay my child will probably have a harder life and be looked down upon, I read that 1 in 10 men are gay, and 1 in 30 women are lesbian. So boys have more of a chance being gay.
@Bill: EXCUSE ME, WE GIVE BIRTH TO YOU…………………..
Answer by MrsStroble
Who cares if 1 out of 10 men are gay? Is that seriously a reason to NOT have a son?
Answer by Bill
It’s because boys are real people and girls are created to be additions for the boys. That’s why girls are smaller framed and more timid and more submissive. Because boys came first and then girls were like a gift to them. Like rims on a car. The car is the main thing, the rims are just an addition. Like popcorn at a movie. The movie is still a movie without the popcorn, but the popcorn makes it a little better. Nobody wants half a person, or a quarter of a person, and that’s what girls are to boys, who are full persons.
Answer by Keligh P
I really don’t know. Before I had my son I really really didn’t want a boy because my brother was extremely misbehaved and had ADHD. My whole experience with boys made me not want boys.
However, i have a boy and a girl now and it is fine
I am the laziest person in the world it feels like. I just dont do anything. Im sixteen years old and I dont have a drivers licence. I am depressed half the time and have severe anxiety. I am suffering from some really gross acne right now, I am goin to the doctor for it but it hasnt helped much. I got it back and I hate going places with acne on my face. I feel fat and ugly, I want to lose weight so bad but I cant seem to do it. I eat when I am bored, and I dont even know how to establish the feeling of being full without pigging out and eating way to much. I have lost a lot of friends this year, and I lost the boy that I loved. I have been going through a lot of crap. I found out he was gay last year and I honestly hated life from that point on. I have moments when I am very optimistic and open to what the future brings then the next minute I will think that nothing good will happen. I am so confusing! I also have horrible sleeping patterns and can never get to sleep at a decent hour, so I end up wasting the day away sleeping. I dont want too but its just that I cant get decent sleep at night. I want to move away from the place I am living! But im only sixteen and obviously I cant. God what should I do? I need to accomplish something. But it feels like I have to much to overcome. But I know I need to. I just dont know what to do from this point onward??:/

I have an 11 years old boy, he doesn’t show any enthusiasm when he studies. He’s smart but a bit lazy. What can I do?
Answer by grandeyeglass
The best chance you have of getting anyone to do what you want them to do is to give them an incentive. Reward him for behaviors you want him to exhibit.
If he is smart and he’s not enthusiastic about studying…maybe he’s bored. Is there any way you can help him apply what he’s learning to real life or take him somewhere to explore/see things related to his studies?
Answer by 3crosses
Plan a reward system with him. Set realistic goals and rewards. Involve him the planning.

For the WDW Dining Plan in 2008: Should I use it for Cinderella’s Royal Table? folding chairs
For the WDW Dining Plan in 2008: Should I use it for Cinderella’s Royal Table or just pay for Cinderella’s Royal Table and use it at different places? I know you have to use 2 table service for Cinderella’s Royal Table and don’t think it is worth the money on that one. What do you think?
I am definitely going to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table. I am just wondering if it worth using 2 table service. It seems like it’s not because it costs around $ 40 and uses up 2 table service. If you opt to pay cash you can still go to two others that are around $ 27 each. What’s your opinion on this?
We are going for lunch with holiday pricing.
It includes pictures either way.
Answer by Robert L
When are you going? I presume you’ll need to book MONTHS in advance in order to get in. But we heard it was OK.
Don’t use it for the Brown Darby in the Studios because we felt it was overrated, especially when you look at Le Cellier in the Canadian pavilion. If you have kids (and I suspect you have) I would like to recommend Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine. They get to meet characters with no made rush (they come to your table), the foods actually the best of the buffets (The Crystal Palace is TERRIBLE) and they have a little dance every 10 minutes (to give you some peace I suspect).
Answer by daisy
Yes definitely!!!! I ate there when I was about 13 for my birthday and it was awesome, and that was a few years ago and not on the Disney dining plan….but now with the plan, definitely try for it because it would be so much more expensive without the plan and is a once-in-a-lifetime type place…especially if you have kids and it’s their “birthday”
Answer by Christian R
i dont know if you can use in Royal table but i think that the awnser is yes. because i dont remenber if i ate there with this plan or i was pay. im not sure

you can buy some epoxy and put some in the hole where the screw goes and carefully tighten it in and avoid moving it while the epoxy sets

I love the British accent: So I will tell you a secret.
You will need a syringe, and needle.
Glue
Steam Iron
Re-Finishing supplies
Several text books on woodworking (or some other subject)
Use steam from iron to soften wood. Do not place iron directly on wood, just soften a bit with steam.
Inject glue under veneer
Place textbooks on area for a day or two.
You may have do do some minor re-finishing.
My wood dining table is developing a lump(bubble)…….? dining room tables
Is there anything I can do to prevent it from cracking or growing any larger?
Answer by wolfatrest2000
Sounds like you have a veneer of some type over a less expensive wood. It’s the way most tables are made now. What’s probably happening is that for some reason (most commonly moisture) the veneer’s glue is coming loose from the actual table. I don’t know of any way to stop it other than peeling it up completely and replacing it with some other type of covering. You could try putting a thin cloth over the lump and ironing it out, the heat may reactivate the glue, but if the wood is warped then it’s not going to work.
Answer by jimd52936
it is a veneer top meaning it is glued to the base. you can try the first answer you have and if don,t work then try putting a small cut into the bubble with a razor knife.then insert some contact glue using a small tooth pick press down and hold for a few minuets and wipe clean.the hot iron works but you have to be careful to much heat and you will have a bigger problem
My mom recently visited and placed a heavy glass bowl on our glass dining table and slid it to the side of the table. Now there’s several surface scratches. Needless to say I am extremely upset. Are there any products I can buy to reduce the appearance or fix it without using an electric buffer? I have tried calling several local hardware (Lowe’s, Home Depot, OSH) and glass stores with no luck. Help!!

get your hands on some resin, like the kind they use for windshields. or call the people and see it they will do it for your dinning table
I’m moving from Chicago to Phoenix in a few months. I currently live in a 900 sq ft apartment.? dining table
I have the basics to move: bed, dining table, couches, sofa, chairs, computer desk, etc. What do I take with me in the car and what do I leave for the movers? I’m living with a friend in PHX until I find a place on my own.
If you have been in a similar situation and have any tips you can provide, that will be great. Also, any moving companies you would recommend? Thank you.

Hummmm……you can’t put a bed, dining table, couch, sofa, chairs or computer desk in your car. That would be a job for the movers.
I don’t like the traditional furniture they sell at the regular furniture stores. Can you recommend me a furniture store where I can find things similar to High Fashion Home or Pier One Imports? I am looking for bedroom furniture and also a dining table with 4 chairs. I live in the Houston area. Thanks!
Answer by Kerry F
Crate and Barrel. Pottery Barn. West Elm.
It is a country kitchen with a chair rail in the dining portion. The rail has a maple stain to match the other wood work & cabinets in the kitchen and there’s wallpaper below the chair rail with paint above. I definitely want to get rid of the wallpaper and paint it all. Should I paint same color above & below chair rail? Paint the chair rail or leave it with the wood stain? I’m thinking of painting the kitchen a yellow or gold all over or maybe white below chair rail and yellow or gold above it. I also have a shelf running the length of 2 walls about a foot from the ceiling. Right now it is painted white.
Answer by MummaBear
i would leave it the same as the wood hun x that way it ties in with all the furniture and there is a continual theme running all the way throug the kitchen and dining area x
Answer by hisprincess
I would paint the chair rail white. Usually in interior decor the space below the chair rail is painted a deeper hue in same color or an accent color. If you are using yellow, paint this on the top and your accent color ( good accent color options are red, blue, or even black) If you paint the lower half white or really light it will very quickly show any dirt/splashes and if you have kids or grandkids this will happen at record speed
Or paint the lower half such as a sunflower and then the top half yellow or lighter hue yellow. Hope this helps:)
Answer by Herbie
I would leave the rail as it is but I wouldn’t paint the wall below it white – it would show the dirt too easily and the balance of the room will be better if the bottom part of the wall is darker than the top part.

I like ur idea! did ur parents actually give u permision to do this? sweet! (if ur that young) if i had that access, then i would put in a hanging chair! they are so much fun to have
Answer by Katie
Those are realllllllly good ideas! I actually think thats prettttty cool, it sounds like its kind of ‘retro’ chic. As for the CD’s and DVD’s hanging from the wall (however you do that) it really depends on the way you hang them, because you don’t want it to look tacky and look like you threw them on the wall.
If your mounting posters on the wall you could attatch them to neon coloured birstol board and have them laminated to add “effect” Overall, i think its a really goood idea, so whatever “floats your boat”

You should totally do lime green! Its the best and you should get like maybe lime green sheets and bed stuff. For Media, Maybe if you have the money a TV with speakers or boom boxes (colored with green) Beanbags rock! Get a few and put them in a corner. Also these really awesome circular lanterns you can get, or a small coffee table. Posters of the beach or friends are cool to put up. Maybe like some cool colored window shades or like you said decorations hanging from the ceiling. A cool matching colored couch would go. You could put a lava lamp or two around the room for extra decorations. Maybe a furry aqua carpet too. And for final touches, celebs you like on posters in your room. A disco ball in the dance section. Fluorescent lights around the room are a great addition to everything. Like one blue, yellow, orange and green. If you have the cash, a soda machine or snack bar would rock. If not just get a couple platters of assorted junk food (or healthy food but not as popular with teens…) and some sodas in a cooler. Hope I helped! We have a lounge like that, that used to be our gorage but know its our cool room! OK, Enjoy!

Answer by *~*~*~*MEdea*~*~*~*
That’s great, just focus on the colours white, yellow and pink. Like for example, the wallpaper you used+white table(with pink and yellow accessories)+white bed with pink/yellow bedspread+pik/yellow curtains with flowers+flower shaped rug in pink/yellow. Also try different shades and get fake pink/yellow flowers. It’ll look great!

I’m assuming you are using the sunshine dot wallpaper.
The wallpaper is pretty busy so I would stick to a lot of solid colored things in that pink, that orange or white.

Is there anyway to make a formica tabletop shine again? office chairs
I am refinishing a 30 year old dining set. As I finish the chairs they are coming out shiny. With the top of the table being formica it would be alot of trouble to replace. Is there a way to bring back the shine on the existing top?
Answer by backyardbonfire
I had the same problem once. If the stain color within the formica is still acceptable, try a couple of coats of clear, glossy, polyurethane. Lightly sand between coats.
Answer by Sandyspacecase
use linseedoil.
Answer by manofnomeanz
Plain old car wax.
I’ve been studying for finals for the past few days which means that I’ve been sitting in front of my laptop in a wooden dining room chair for hours every day.
I was sitting especially long last night and this morning i woke up with an enormous amount of pain in my lower back.
If I move in a wrong way, my lower back is in so much pain that I freeze up.
Is it possible to hurt your back from sitting in a chair for too long?
Answer by Emily
well it depends on how you were sitting. I have been studying alot lately too and bending down over your books forever can hurt your back afterwords. Just take some Tylenol, maybe soak in a warm bath or use a heating pad, or (if you have an adjustable showerhead) turn it to jet on warm and just let it massage your back. hope you get better
Answer by Kim Yeoh
Hi there,
Yes, absolutely! And I am sorry to hear on that pain you got in your back. Long hours of sitting, and especially in front of a computer (or your laptop) can really bring you lots of pain. Good thing it is just your lower back. OThers are suffering neck pain as well.
If you also suffer further pain because of improper posture, you should treat this immediately. How? Now, dont be hasty on going to a doctor. Healing it naturally is a good start – regain back your good posture. Here is my opinion.
First, go for free option. Try do yoga, or exercise. Watch videos in Youtube, or simply browse posts online.
Secondly, use posture braces. Since you need to stay up long with a pc (sort of unavoidable), it will serves as your exercise. Sooner or later, you will get a perfect sit position in long hours, in which you don’t have to push your back muscles and triggers the pain.
Hope this helps..
Best Regards,
Kim

Answer by MytMo
1 is false. Commas should be used instead of semi-colons after each of the items listed.
#2 is true.
#3 is true.
#4 is false. The phrase “annoyed by my sarcastic tone” should be proceeded and followed by the same punctuation, either commas or hyphens, preferably commas. If hyphens are used, they should be both preceded and followed by a space.

2.) False
3.) False
4.) False
Answer by Chris D
ALL ARE FALSE.
Q 1: I packed a jug of ice-cold lemonade; a basket filled with sandwiches, fruit and brownies; a large blanket; and two folding chairs. (Two errors)
Q 2 and 3: No spaces before or after a dash. This is the ‘em rule’ or two hyphens. The single hyphen is the ‘en rule’ that is spaced.
Q 4: The policeman–annoyed by my sarcastic tone–handed me a ticket for jaywalking.
OR
The policeman, annoyed by my sarcastic tone, handed me a ticket for jaywalking.
Use dashes OR commas. Just be consistent, don’t mix them together.
my step father has been living with me for about five years and when I was about 7 I had a fever (I’m 16 now) he was trying to force me to go to the park and I refused cause I was sick and he backed off a little bit then took off his belt and started beating me with it then he drug me into my room threw me into my dresser. then a few years later I broke my ancle playing soccer and he was forcing me to carry about 30 metal folding chairs down our basement and I told him I was not able to and he again took me out side and started beating me again in the middle of winter I had no shoes on and only a t-shirt and shorts on and he locked me out forcing me to walk around the block to a police officers house with only my cast on and he is still living with me what the hell should I do about him???? plz help

I would save you if I could! When you go to school tell your guidance counselor and see if she/he can help you! He is like my step father was to me and my two brothers. We were lucky and went into foster care when i was about 9. I told my guidance counselor and she helped me and my brothers. If you have family who will take you in than you wont go into foster care. Best of luck to you sweetie Your

I am trying to potty train my 11 week old puppy so I put her in one of the rooms in the basement and put the baby gate up so she can’t run loose. Here is the killer part! She climbs the gate to get out each time and she is so tiny 2 pds. The next time I put 2 baby gates side by side and put 2 folding chairs up so i know she can’t get out and guess what! I am upstairs in my room and here she comes each time!
Please help me out she can’t have the run of the basement until she is older and fully trained plus we have a senior cat and I don’t want them together yet. I have a crate but everytime I put her in it she cries for a long time and I can’t leave her in the crate all day when I am at work.
Now should I keep putting her in the room and each time she gets out put her back and say NO bad DOG?
HELP
Answer by Ashes
Keep putting her in the room, every time she gets out.
Its gonna be a hassle, but she’ll learn she just needs to
stay in the room.
Answer by doc’s wife
I’d use a crate- if you stick with it, she will get used to it. Just like young wolf pups who live in a den. We still crate our 11month old pitbull pup when we are away- otherwise we would come home to a massive mess ,and possibly an injured pup
Answer by nqf
try an exercise pen with a cover.
putting her back and saying bad dog won’t do anything (she doesn’t understand language or why you’re doing this to her). and if she keeps doing this, she may get injured one time by falling over the other side. my guess is that she is climbing out and coming to be with you because she is lonely (which is also why she cries in the crate). as long as you are awake why not have her with you – she can’t learn to be housetrained without the opportunity to be out and about.
